The journey of any business rests squarely on the decisions of its Founder and Board of Directors. As the driving force behind SoCal Rider Coalition (SCRC), I understand the importance of engaging with riders, followers, and critics, and I welcome both positive and negative feedback. This belief stands as one of the four cornerstones on which I founded SCRC.
As the Founder of SCRC, I want to assure riders, members, followers, and supporters that your input, feedback, and even criticism aren't merely noted, they actively contribute to SCRC's growth. This commitment fosters an environment where rider's voices are acknowledged, and their insights embraced, and it drives us to maintain open ears, eternally receptive to the perspectives shared by the cycle community, to which we actively belong.
Our Board of Directors meets regularly to discuss and examine ideas, strategizing SCRC's enhancement. With unwavering dedication, SCRC’s Board stands ready to pivot, adjust, and improve. Recently, we've received valuable feedback about our coalition mission and our relationship with motorcycle clubs (MC's) and Riders, Members, Vendors with MC affiliations. I want to address this head on and directly.
SCRC’s Mission And Relationship With Motorcycle Clubs (MC's) & Members, Riders, Sponsors, Vendors With MC Affiliations
Some aspects of our mission and collaboration with MC's or Members, Sponsors, Vendors, and Riders with MC affiliations might be misconstrued, possibly creating a perception of favoritism or allegiances. Our mission is unwavering: we wish to work closely with all Members, Sponsors, Vendors, Riders and MC's, fostering neutrality, collaboration, and support benefiting the entire SCRC community. As such, we must always endeavor to separate SCRC from any connection or perceived association with any issues that arise.
In light of this, it is imperative for us to underscore our unwavering commitment to neutrality and inclusivity. SCRC is steadfast in ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all Members, Vendors, Sponsors, and MC's. In light of this we're refining our 2024 vendor / sponsor vetting processes and cycle event / group ride guidelines to embody this commitment.
My aim is to clarify our mission, preserve neutrality and transparency, offering every Member, Vendor, Sponsor, Rider, and MC an equitable platform to engage, participate, and benefit from SCRC events. Our goal is to create an environment where every voice is valued and respected and conflict is avoided. As we put these changes into action, rest assured that our mission and dedication to collaboration remains steadfast.
We're eager to forge strong connections, endeavoring to amplify the collective voice of the entire SoCal Cycle Community. Our approach involves collaborating where possible, showing up when it matters, and offering support to all SCRC Members, Vendors, Sponsors, MC's, and Riders as the situation demands.
Thank you for your support and patience and for being a crucial part of the decisions we make on this journey with SCRC.
Sincerely,
Glenn Cogan, Founder
